It seems that superheroes are everywhere these days. They have always been popular – Marvel and DC Comics have been successful for many decades now with their impressive creations – but the 21st century seems to be even more populated with these perfect people than ever.
Why?
Why does the world need superheroes?

Basically, we need to believe that everything is going to be all right. It was easy when we were little – our parents told us that they would look after us, that nothing would hurt us, and we believed them. Done. But as we grow older – as some of us become those same parents – we realise that the confidence we have that nothing would go wrong is often misplaced.
A lot can go wrong.
And it does.
And it has.
Superheroes help.

We know they’re not real, but that doesn’t mean we can’t use them as examples to help us feel better about things. We need to be able to believe that there is something or someone out there that will help us when we need it – someone or something that will save the world. Now, that someone or something may not be a man in tights who can fly and has incredible strength, it may not be a woman with the ability to battle baddies with a quick snap of her whip, but these symbols of justice, truth, power, and honour are there to remind us that these qualities do exist in the world.
It’s not as though we could forget, after all. Superheroes can be found in every corner of our lives if we look hard enough (and even when we don’t – sometimes these guys and gals are pretty obvious). The movies are probably the most obvious ways to find the people we are looking for – there is a new one (or two, or three) every year, and the public flocks to it in their thousands. Their hundreds of thousands. But movies aren’t for everyone, and there are plenty of other ways to get a fix on our favourite heroes.

What about comic books? This is where these characters started, after all, and it’s where you can get the best idea of where they have been and where they are going next. But what if you want to be the superhero? To actually play the part? That’s where gaming comes in. Video games are massively popular, and they are the perfect way to enjoy a little escapism. Casino games are even better though – not only can you indulge in some adventure with your favourite superhero (there seems to be some casino action for every one of them), but you can win big too, especially with Coral.
So where are you going to look for your superhero?
